Dear Customers, Friends, and many of you who are both,
I have enjoyed each and every one of my contacts with all of you, but I think it is prudent for me to put the operations at BrassMechanics on hold for the time being.
Increased responsibilities at my "day" job and the ongoing restoration of our recently purchased 88 year old home have spread my time too thin. I have found that I have been unable to complete locomotive repairs and modifications in a timely manner. Despite the incredible patience shown by all of you, I must decline any more work until other distractions are dealt with.
For those of you who already have work in my shop, it will be completed with the usual level of care I have always had for brass models. I realize the removal of our shipping address from the website may be a cause for concern, but I find it is the only way to stop the steady flow of models into the shop. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to work on those trains, but for the time being I cannot keep up. I must say, when I started this operation 5 years ago I never would have guessed that the trains would "just keep coming".
Please check back from time to time, as I hope to pick this up again in the near future, and thanks for your business and the trust you placed in me when you sent me your models.
I hope to speak with all of you again soon.
